I work with ambitious leaders and business owners who want to do things differently. They don't see the world the same way as other people. They're the innovators. They challenge the status quo and push the boundaries.
Does it feel like your business should be performing better? Maybe you're working harder, just to stand still? Are the old ways of working not delivering the same results any more?
Every day, through my company Ashton McGill, we help our clients solve problems like these, using our unique blend of business experience, creativity and design thinking.
There are lots of different ways for us to work together. It could be a one-off project, or sometimes we'll be brought in to train staff on how to think creatively and boost innovation.
How we work is entirely up to you. Together, we'll create a better organisation.

We run a number of different training courses throughout the year, all focused around using a design-led approach to improve your business. Our courses and workshops take place at The Circle in Dundee, however in 2017 we'll be taking our courses on the road to venues across the UK. Keep an eye out for details!
All of our workshops and courses can also be delivered in-house for your organisation.
Running a business can be a lonely job. Having a coach or mentor, someone with experience to bounce things off, can be a great help.
I coach a small group of people across the UK. Some coaching is done face-to-face, some by telephone, some via Skype. We'll work out what's best for you and then take it from there.
I have limited availability for coaching, but there's always time for the right person. If you'd like to have a conversation about working together, send me an email.
One of the biggest challenges business owners face is not having someone they can bounce things off. Running a business is a lonely job, and even if there’s more than one of you, it may be that no-one has any experience of being a director.
To solve this problem, many people decide to bring in an outside advisor, commonly known as a Non-Executive Director (NXD). They’ll usually have accumulated a wealth of experience in senior roles, and will be happy to use that experience to help you grow your business.
I sit on the Board of a number of companies across the UK, including several non-profits and am always happy to discuss new opportunities. Get in touch if you'd like to have a conversation about how I could help your organisation.
I’m not a man to sit about – both figuratively and literally. In my working life and as a competitive cyclist, I believe in living life to the max - whether it’s mind mapping an idea that’s come to me in the wee small hours or spending over 10 hours a week training in the saddle. But my passion for what I do means neither feels like hard work.
I have a brain that's always busy, and love thinking of creative ways to be disruptive – always asking, “Why does it have to be that way?” – with the ultimate aim of giving the customer a better experience.
As a result, my businesses reflect many of my values and beliefs: they don't conform to industry stereotypes, instead taking a modern approach that breaks boundaries and creates a positive, dynamic and fun environment for clients and staff alike.
